John Cumberland Played Pro Ball From 1968 to 1974

John Cumberland pitched for six seasons in the MLB between 1968 and 1974 with the New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, and California Angels.After retiring Cumberland became a coach, serving as minor league pitching coordinator for the Milwaukee Brewers in 1992 and acted as both bullpen coach and pitching coach for the Boston Red Sox. He also served as the pitching coach for the Kansas City Royals from 2002 to 2003.

Mr. Cumberland was inducted into the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame in 1971.
